On Thursday the Explorers got a cable car to the top of ‘The Rock, had a look at the spectacular views and had a great time. We the went on to have a look around St Michael’s Cave and as the Sun was getting a bit hot we then went back down the rock using the cable car.
The Explorers finished off the day with some shopping and chilling before an early night to get up early the next day for Tangiers, Morroco. Photographs from Thursday are posted below.

Explorer Scouts and Leaders from Units in Midlothian  and Meadows Unit, Blackford, Edinburgh of  are heading on an adventure of a lifetime to Gibraltar between 5th July 2009 and 17th July 2009.

Gibraltar is a self-governing British overseas territory located near the southernmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar. The territory shares a border with Spain to the north. Gibraltar has historically been an important base for the British Armed Forces and is the site of a Royal Navy base.

Scottish Scouting has a long tradition of accepting visits from the Gibraltar Sea Scouts at the bi annual Scottish Patrol Jamborette at Blair Atholl. This year we will visit our Scouting friends in Gibraltar.

This site aims to be the main hub for information, before, during and after the trip. Where you can look out for some lovely photos.
